At the age of eleven, Filip had a rocket start into the go-kart world when he won the Czech go-kart championship in the Comer category in his first season already, when he showed strong nerves and won the fight for the title.

In the next season he switched to driving cars – he got the racing license in Czech town Most in P. Patera’s school. Filip dealt with the difficult transfer very well and at the end of the season, he won the third place at the Puma Cup. One year later, he ascended one step higher and reached the 13th place at the Octavia Cup, when he amazed by the third place already in the first racing weekend.
Another transfer awaited Filip in the 2002 season, this time from travel carts to formulas. Wearing the colors of Czech team I.S.R., Filip entered the prestigious ADAC BMW Junior Cup. In season 2003 compete Filip in ADAC formula BMW again and finish season with 3th place at Hockenheim final race.
